For nearly four decades, Rachel Weiss has carved out a successful career as a data analyst. For the past 23 years, Ms. Weiss has worked as a Lead Data Security Analyst at the United Parcel Service of America, Inc. Her area of expertise revolves primarily around performance capacity planning. In this role, she mentors a team of six individuals and takes care of mid-range platforms. This also includes managing and auditing access controls and auditing 2,000 serves on a daily basis.
Ms. Weiss has long been interested in computer science and earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and computer science from the School of Engineering at New York University in 1982. She continued to receive an MBA for scientists, engineers and technical executives at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1986. She has been involved in a number of organizations that have aided in her career. She highlights her affiliation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers as making one of the most poignant differences in her chosen field. She has also maintained affiliation with the ACM, Inc., the Computer Measurement Group, Inc. and Toastmasters International. Separate from her career, Ms. Weiss is interested in radio and participates in HAM radio. She holds an amateur radio extra license. Additionally, she is an assistant director with ARRL, a communications volunteer for the New York City Marathon and supports local 5K races and Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society. |
